I appreciate what the other reviewer mentioned about thinking critically as you use a volume such as this. That is 100% true. However, how does that reviewer know that the TDNT misses the first century meanings of New Testament words. Sure, some words change in meaning quickly, but that doesn't mean they all do|About the Author|(1888-1948) Former Professor of New Testament both at Greifswald and Tübingen. He undertook the editorial direction of Theologisches Wörterbuch zum Neuen Testament in 1928.
